Safety breaches raised by National Highways on the A428 project
Safety breaches raised by National Highways. Please read:
Over the weekend, we had multiple incursions from members of the public entering our work sites, as well as walking along the closed A428. This may appear appealing and a good place to take a stroll as there is no traffic on the road, however, this is a closed site and effectively trespass with anyone entering without approval or access. It is also extremely dangerous; it may feel closed, but we had 40 tonne trucks moving through the day on the A428, as well as the risk of a member of the public driving through the closure, ignoring our barriers, with no care and attention to anyone around them. We had a mix of people enter our closures, but the one which highlights the risk the most was a parent with a buggy walking along the closed road.
Please keep safe and stay out of our works areas.
