Abbotsley Parish Council has been consulted by Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) on the following:

Proposal: Removal of Condition 4 (remain ancillary) of 17/00988/HHFUL

This application is to be discussed by the Parish Council. The meeting is due to be held on Thursday 9th July 2026 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall, Abbotsley. The agenda will be published on this website and on the Parish Council noticeboard on Saturday 4th July 2026.
HDC have given a deadline for comments of 20th July 2026.

Huntingdonshire District Council have launched a survey on parking within Huntingdonshire
Residents and businesses invited to help shape the future of parking in Huntingdonshire
Residents, businesses, organisations and visitors are invited to complete the survey online at https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/huntparkingstrategy/ by 16th August.
Huntingdonshire District Council has launched a consultation on its emerging Parking Strategy, which will guide how parking is managed across the district in the years ahead.
The strategy is being developed around four key objectives:
- Supporting thriving town centres
- Integrating parking with active and sustainable transport
- Delivering a modern customer-focused parking service
- Managing parking assets responsibly
The consultation builds on an earlier phase of public engagement carried out in December 2025. That exercise explored how council car parks are currently used and perceived by residents, businesses and visitors, helping identify key issues, priorities, and themes.
This latest survey asks for views on the emerging vision, objectives and policy direction for parking in Huntingdonshire before the strategy is finalised and presented to Council in September.
Cllr Julie Kerr, Portfolio Holder for parks, countryside, waste and street scene, says:
“We know parking plays an important role in supporting our town centres, local economy, residents and visitors. That’s why we’re asking people to share their views and help us develop a strategy that reflects local needs and priorities.
“The feedback we’ve received so far has been invaluable and this next stage of consultation will help ensure the final strategy is informed by real-world experiences and stakeholder expectations.”
