Website for Abbotsley Parish Council

Welcome to the Abbotsley Parish Council website. The site provides easy access to information about the Parish Council, the local area, news and events – as well as information for new residents or those intending to move here. Abbotsley Parish Council currently has 5 Councillors and we have vacancies for two more Councillors. Councillors work in an unpaid capacity. The Parish Council meets every month (except in August) usually on a Thursday evening, together with a part time Clerk who also has the role of Responsible Financial Officer.

All our Councillors live in the parish or have very strong links with the village and understand many of the local issues. Your Council is working on your behalf to improve both life and the environment in the parish and maintain the character and nature of our villages. Plenty of work is carried out by volunteers for the benefit of the community with no financial rewards.

We hope you find the website useful and that you’ll visit regularly to get the latest information and updates. The contact form is the easiest way to give feedback and ask any questions you may have. These messages go through to our Parish Clerk who will then forward it on to the relevant Councillor or answer your enquiry direct. We want to develop the site to be a useful portal for the community, so please let us know what else you would like to see here.
